Katie: Office Manager and Technician

Katie was born and raised right here in Maine. She always had a love for animals as a small child.  It was always a dream of hers to grow up and work with them.  The opportunity finally crossed her path 6 years ago.  Unfortunately,  it happened due to the diagnosis of cancer in her cat Spunky. She was the first kitten (of many) that she had hand raised.

She has been blessed for the past 6 years to have been cross-trained in many areas of veterinary medicine.  She currently resides in Auburn with her daughter, Evelyn, their Boston Terrier, Onyx, and her rescue cats!

Katie's can-do attitude makes her an important team member here at TVWC, whether it involves client relations, computer and inventory updating, or the compassion she shows to our patients.

Bethany:  Receptionist

Bethany joined our team in September 2016.  Before this, she worked with shelter pets in the area for just over 2 years.  She has always loved animals since a young age and has had pets of all shapes and sizes.  She is currently living happily in Bowdoin with her husband, rescue dog, Kenna, four rescue cats, a rescue angora rabbit, and 10 ducks!  She spends most of her time outside of work taking care of all her animals - they keep her very busy!.  She plans to expand her small farm in 2017 (including but not limited to bee-keeping).

She graduated from Mt. Ararat in 2013 and is very computer savvy.  She got us started on Instagram shortly after joining the team!  She is in school through San Juan College and hopes to one day become a license vet tech.  We value her great attitude, friendly demeanor and love for our patients.  If you really want to get her excited, ask her about her dog, Kenna, or her ducks!

Amanda: Receptionist

Melissa is our newest technician and she is excited to join the TVWC family!  Growing up in South Berwick Maine Melissa had the opportunity of a lifetime to work as a kennel assistant in a busy small animal practice. She was hooked immediately.  Almost a decade later, she has grown into a strong veterinary assistant. Since she was a very little girl, Melissa has always had a passion to assist animals of all kinds and a love for veterinary medicine.  Always intrigued and eager to learn; whether it was to race home from school to watch a dental procedure on a neighbor's horse, or to visit the vet with her hamster, Melissa heard the profession calling her name. Never shying away from hard work Melissa knows the importance of client education and providing the very best care for your beloved animal.  She is excited about the opportunity to call TVWC home and show you exactly why you chose the best hospital for your pet care needs.
