We are always glad to accept resumes from enthusiastic, hard working, dependable, team oriented people who wish to join our team of veterinary health care professionals.
Positions for which we may have openings include:
RECEPTIONISTS (WANTED: 1/9/19)
As a receptionist, you are the start and finish of every patient appointment, thus you are responsible for the first and last impression of every client. Please remember how important those impressions are to the overall success of Topsham Veterinary Wellness Center. You are the cheerful greeter to the worried client/patient duo, or the familiar face to the longtime client. You are the keeper of the products that preventatively protect our patients and you are the liaison between the vast array of client questions and the doctors that hold the answers.
Seeking a part-time receptionist to help our team. Preference to those with front desk experience. No animal experience needed.
As a veterinary technician, Topsham Veterinary Wellness Center relies on you for the safety and welfare of all our animal patients while they are in the hospital. You are the faces that admit an animal for the day or sometimes simply to take their pet into the treatment area for a quick procedure. You must instill trust that an owner’s beloved pet will be provided with the best care possible while under your supervision. To do this, the hospital must be kept clean, safe and up to date with functional equipment and medical supplies. Your training must be kept current so you can provide information to owners with questions. Your desire to learn must be ever present so that we never fall short of providing the best of care to the animals we are all here for. Always greet owners and their pets with a smile as a way of representing who we are at TVWC – we are compassionate caregivers.
A veterinary assistant’s job is to be the technician’s right-hand-man. A clean, properly stocked hospital allows the technicians to perform their duties and this ultimately allows the doctor to perform theirs. It is important to be familiar with animal behavior and comfortable with the restraint of an animal for various procedures. An assistant who is interested in expanding their knowledge about veterinary medicine will be rewarded at Topsham Veterinary Wellness Center by technical lessons when their other responsibilities have been met and time allows. The more you are able to learn, the more rewarding your position will become.
ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN (WANTED: 1/13/19)
Are you a veterinarian who wants to work hard, be a team player, and celebrate success when pets thrive because of you? Can you boost your energy back up after a rough day by sharing in laughs with goofy co-workers and a face full of puppy kisses? Are you eager to create lasting relationships with committed pet owners who want to be part of the team approach to pet care? Do you appreciate the idea of a veterinarian being the all-in-one profession that can recognize, diagnose, and treat/manage a case from start to finish? Our 6 year old office is equipped with all the up-to-date necessities of a solid general practice, as well as having an educated and excited support staff to aid in your success. When it comes to referrals, we have a good relationship with nearby specialists to help create a comprehensive plan for your patients. We are honest, open, compassionate, with a family feel and a great reputation in the community and online, “Where everybody knows your name…” Go ahead, sing along; and send us your resume if you want to be part of the fun.
Confident new graduates who are eager to learn are welcome to apply.
